[opensuse-wiki] "Anchors" in links?

On https://en.opensuse.org/In_the_press_42.2, there are several links
of the form:
http://news.softpedia.com/news/first-opensuse-leap-42-2-release-candidate-adds-kde-plasma-5-8-1-gnome-updates-509406.shtml#ixzz4OH0uW6Pc
instead of:
http://news.softpedia.com/news/first-opensuse-leap-42-2-release-candidate-adds-kde-plasma-5-8-1-gnome-updates-509406.shtml
That is, they seem to contain an anchor, but no such anchor exists in
the referenced page and using it or not using it produces the same
display.

Is this an artifact of the mechanism by which the links are gathered?
